- CMS started in the payment processing industry with a small Windows based computer program called CheckMAN Check Printing Software. CheckMAN is a program that will allow business owners to accept check payments by phone, by fax, and online. We had a good product that we were selling at a great price. Customers loved it! They wanted to know what other products we offered. They started asking us, “Can you set us up to take credit cards too? After hearing this question over and over we decided that it made sense for us to offer credit card processing services. We did our research on the various networks and processors available. After a bit of trial and error in the early years, CMS has now partnered with a couple of the largest and most secure financial institutions in the world to support our bankcard processing services.<
